The Fantastic Five!

The Mother of life,
It has died yet, but we her children
are ready for her funeral!

The quencher of thirst
The giver of life, She is saddened,
Slowly loosing her way!

Fire burning deep inside,
Heating the energy for life to exist
with vengeance she burns!

The trees wave in the breeze
they flew away as far as their wings carried
she was now an angry wind!

Wait for the ultimate rest,
close your mind from greed and need,
Eternal nothingness is what you feel!

Authors Note:
The TEAM that balances all of what exits is essentially five elements – Bhumi (Earth), Jala (Water), Agni (Fire), Vayu (Wind) and Shunya (Void). The above set of Haiku’s is a tribute to each of them, and their existence.
